CAN T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN brings together various Michael Jerome Browne tracks
from: Drive On (2001), Michael Jerome Browne & The Twin Rivers String Band (2004),
Double (2007), This Beautiful Mess (2008) and The Road Is Dark (2011).
A new song, Four Years, No Rain previously unreleased, is featured.
Songs by Tampa Red, Jesse Fuller, Reverend Gary Davis and Tommy Johnson, and four
original Michael Jerome Browne songs in the style, as well as a couple of gourd banjo
tunes, share the spotlight on Can t Keep A Good Man Down.
The compilation is mostly solo, with a little help from friends John McColgan, Jordan
